Kate Middleton looked polished and elegant at the Wimbledon finals match, even when she shed a few tears at (British tennis champ) Andy Murray’s loss. Murray’s girlfriend Kim Sears looked fabulous, too. Was anyone bothering to glance at winner Roger Federer, with all that glamour going on? The beautiful, glossy hair of the two ladies in question, reports People magazine, stole a big chunk of the show.
So which hairstyle was the big winner? That’s still open to a late judges’ decision. Duchess Catherine wore her iconic long, silky hair, curled at the ends and pooling around her shoulders. She looked every inch a lady. Those glossy Kate Middleton tresses have been turning heads all around the world, since Kate came permanently on the scene a year ago October.
Kim Sears is more of a newcomer, but she won’t be forgotten. Her British version of a California-girl look may have outclassed the duchess, for the two weeks of Wimbledon, anyway. Casual and flowing and super-straight, Kim appeared ready to grab a racquet and join in the fun. Her easy, effortless-looking style has been most envied and most copied around London recently. Kate Middleton, as befitting a princess-to-be, was more in Royal box mode.
Kim’s “natural, glossy hair is the perfect relaxed summer look,” says Mathew Soobroy, of London’s Charles Worthington Salons. “Her style says ‘girl-next-door,’ but with a little extra gloss and bounce. We’ve experienced an incredible uplift in requests for [her] style, exceeding requests for other celebrities [including Kate] by over 50 percent.”
Sounds like game, match and set. But stay tuned. Kate Middleton is not done yet.
